Alright. I'm about to lose my blog-virginity with this post so let's get it on.
I decided to start off with a bang. This track is 2:20 minutes pure funky soul explosion.
I bought this record along with some others in a (very) drunken state from a record dealer in a club. Good-natured as I am, I gave him 60 quid and my address, and the records actually arrived a few days later. Very trustworthy man that was.
King Curtis puts his porn-sax on top of a funky uptempo track, complete with a drummer who gets down like Animal from the Muppets and a nice break around 1:10. Don't try dancing to this one!
